Issue

  • Attempts to create a new volume on a Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) fail with an error message indicating that the Vserver (SVM) is migrating. The following is observed in the CLI and mgwd logs:
Failed to perform action create: volume:{vserver:SVM1, volume:demo_vol, ...}. Reason: The operation failed because Vserver "SVM1" is migrating. Retry the operation after the Vserver migrate completes or after pausing the migration using the "vserver migrate pause -vserver SVM1" command on destination cluster "Cluster1".
  • Volume creation fails via both CLI and GUI.
  • Error message references ongoing Vserver (SVM) migration.
  • Volume is not created until migration completes or is paused.
