Answer

  • Because it is a built in account, you cannot delete the default "admin" user account in NetApp ONTAP.
  • However, you can achieve a similar level of security and control by following the steps in the section "Default administrative accounts" starting on page 7 of Security hardening guide for NetApp ONTAP.
