Answer

We can add version mismatch node to cluster but have limitation.
  • Use command cluster add-node -allow-mixed-version-join true -cluster-ips <IP address> -node-names <new_node_name> add cluster.
  • Have length of time limitation when the cluster is in a mixed version state.
