  • Yes, ONTAP automatic security updates can use a proxy server.
  • Automatic security updates require the following environment conditions:
    • AutoSupport is enabled.
    • AutoSupport OnDemand is enabled.
    • AutoSupport uses HTTPS.
  • No special restriction prevents automatic security updates from running through a proxy server.
  • When a proxy server is used, the proxy environment must allow HTTPS AutoSupport communication to NetApp support endpoints.
