Issue

  • Following a controller upgrade, the cluster sends CLUSTER NETWORK DEGRADED alerts with no apparent reason
  • EMS reports ping failure between two Cluster LIFs

Mon Dec 20 04:50:47 +0100 [node02: vifmgr: callhome.clus.net.degraded:alert]: Call home for CLUSTER NETWORK DEGRADED: Total Packet Loss - Ping failures detected between node02_clus1 ( 169.254.2.92 ) on node02 and node01_test ( 169.254.111.226 ) on node01

  • LIF node01_test does not show in the output of network interface show
  • The missing LIF was created to allow controller upgrade to complete and has since been deleted
