Issue

  • Autosupport are failing to transmit
  • From notifyd.log :

[kern_notifyd:info:2565] 0x80f1a3f00: 0: ERR: AutoSupport::OnDemand: Unable to send polling query to ASUP OnDemand Server, error: Unable to send AOD request to OnDemand Server: Couldn't resolve host name
[kern_notifyd:info:2565] Could not resolve host: support.netapp.com

Status: failed
Detail: HTTP/S PUT connectivity check failed for destination:
https://support.netapp.com/put/AsupPut/. Error: Could not resolve host - 'support.netapp.com'
Corrective Action: Use "dns check" command to check DNS connection

  • Ping to the DNS servers works
  • dns check -vserver svm1 -name-server <ip_address>  shows "Network is unreachable"
