Issue

  • Aggregate is temporarily reached 99% used capacity, triggering the following alert:

[node02:wafl_spcd_main:monitor.volume.full:alert]: Aggregate "aggr2" is full (using or reserving 99% of space and 0% of inodes).

  • Shortly after, the aggregate usage dropped to 88% and no further alerts were generated.
  • The situation occurred when a thick-provisioned volume was set offline and subsequently deleted.
  • This led to confusion regarding space reclamation and aggregate usage behavior.
