Access CIFS share while domain is unavailable

Description

  • Typically, CIFS users need to autheticate to a domain controller to access a share
  • Consequently, if the domain controller is down,  users are unable to access CIFS shares
  • As a temporary workaround, the SVM can be put into Workgroup mode, so that users can access the CIFS share with a local account instead of a domain account
