Issue

  • The following event log appears on a node during File System Analytics (FSA) scans:

Mon Sep 15 06:17:20 +0900 [node03:wafl_remote_reply_handler_3:wafl_attr_topK_scan_fail_1:alert]: params: {'volname':'vol1__0004','vserveruuid':'@vserver:54872466-730e-11ee-939c-d039ea55244e','error':'Invalid argument'}

  • The alert is generated when attempting to start the “TopK attribute scan” on a volume.
  • The scan does not proceed to in-core structure allocation.
  • The error is intermittent and does not impact data availability or client access.
  • File System Analytics (FSA) state remains “on”, but scan progress and file counts may be empty.
