CONTAP-95194: EMS Events delivered to an external syslog server using TCP protocols can be dropped
Issue
The Event Management System (EMS) provides the ability to configure an external syslog server that will receive events.
The transport protocols supported are:
- UDP
- Encrypted TCP
- Unencrypted TCP
When using TCP, it is required that a newline character separate consecutive events. If this character is missing the syslog events may be dropped.
This can affect the following features:
- Encrypted TCP
- Unencrypted TCP
