Issue

When performing SVM (Storage Virtual Machine) migrations using the ONTAP CLI (vserver migrate start), there is no option to explicitly select which source network interfaces (LIFs) are migrated to which destination network ports. This limitation can lead to precheck failures during migration if ONTAP cannot automatically confirm reachability between the required IP addresses and available network ports on the destination cluster. As a result, migrations that require specific network interface placement or that target clusters without pre-existing SVMs/data LIFs may fail with errors such as:
There are no network ports on the destination cluster "CLUSTERNAME" where reachability is confirmed for the following IP addresses: x.x.x.x, y.y.y.y
