CONTAP-530372: Multi-admin verification emails are not being sent with the authenticated user

Issue

  • As of 9.15.1, SMTP authentication can be configured in the event config settings.
  • A NOT VERIFIED tag is observed on Multi-admin verification(MAV) emails being sent from the cluster but the EMS emails configured in event notification destination do not have this tag added.
  • Checking the mail relay server confirms that MAV emails are not being forwarded with the mail-server-user and password:

MAV email:
Aug 28 08:40:29 rhel1 postfix/smtpd[42590]: DA87120A36D5: client=cluster1-01.demo.netapp.com[192.168.0.111]
 
EMS email:
Aug 28 08:39:48 rhel1 postfix/smtpd[42590]: BD73220A36D5: client=cluster1-01.demo.netapp.com[192.168.0.111], sasl_method=PLAIN, sasl_username=umail
