Issue

When you create a LIF with an IPv6 address and specify a netmask other than {}ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff::{}, ONTAP may create the LIF using the default ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:: netmask instead. This can prevent the LIF from using the intended network configuration.
