CONTAP-472081: After a reboot, VLDB fails to open with INTERNAL_ERROR

Issue

  • After a reboot, the following message can be seen:

ROOT VOLUME NOT WORKING PROPERLY: RECOVERY REQUIRED
  • Event logs show VLDB errors as below:

Wed Apr 23 16:08:28 +0200 [cluster1-1: vldb: rdb.env.replicaCorrupt:alert]: Corruption in the local database of Data Replication Module: Failed to open SQLite environment: INTERNAL_ERROR. .
Wed Apr 23 16:08:28 +0200 [cluster1-1: vldb: rdb.corruption.reported:notice]: Corruption reported in the local database of Data Replication Module VLDB, error: Failed to open.
Wed Apr 23 16:08:28 +0200 [cluster1-1: vldb: rdb.open.unit.error:EMERGENCY]: Module "rdb_module::module_init": failed to open unit "INTERNAL_ERROR" -and is exiting the process to force a restart.
Wed Apr 23 16:08:28 +0200 [cluster1-1: spmd: spm.vldb.process.exit:EMERGENCY]: Volume Location Database(VLDB) subsystem with ID 6998 exited as a result of signal normal exit (1). The subsystem will attempt to restart.
