CONTAP-387859: SETINFO metadata modification errouneously evicts blocks with write-back

Issue

Certain types of operations are expected to be absorbed at the cache,  ONTAP FlexCache write-back guidelines
At this time, the only attributes that can be changed or set on a file on the write-back-enabled FlexCache volume are:

  • Timestamps

  • Mode bits

  • NT ACLs

  • Owner

  • Group

  • Size

 
Due to an issue in evaluating these values some calls which are expected to be evaluated at the cache are going to the origin and causing evictions of the data.
