CONTAP-37441: Configuration replication failure degrades the state of the SVM and causes switchback failure

Issue

  • When configuration replication fails, the Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) configuration state becomes degraded.
  • If you perform switchback at this time, switchback fails with the error:
    "Failed to validate the node and cluster components before the switchback operation. cluster_siteA (non-overridable veto): Internal error.
    The Vserver configuration state was set to "degraded" because configuration replication failed. Reason: MetroCluster Vserver stream operation failed.
    Run "metrocluster vserver show -configuration-state degraded -fields corrective-action" to view detailed recovery information."
