Issue

  • When a node falls out of replicated database (RDB) quorum, its data LIFs are impacted and will failover to another node, which might cause a brief client disruption as TCP connections are torn down and re-established.
  • The RDB should maintain quorum during the loss of a single cluster switch (e.g., a planned or unplanned switch reboot) or the failure of a single cluster network port or network cable.
  • As long as there is at least one good path across the cluster network to the other nodes, it is desirable for RDB to maintain its quorum.
