Issue

  • During a SnapMirror logical replication with storage efficiency (LRSE) to LRSE cascade, ONTAP may trigger an unexpected SnapMirror data warehouse rebuild
    Example:
    • Asynchronous SnapMirror between volume A and volume B, followed by Asynchronous SnapMirror from volume B to volume C
    • While data warehouse rebuild is active, the transfer status between volume B and volume C remains in "Preparing"
    • As a result, the transfer takes longer than usual to finish, potentially impacting the Recovery Point Objective (RPO)
  • There are no other impacts to the functionality of the SnapMirror relationship, nor the data integrity and availability of any of the volumes involved in the cascade
