CONTAP-87081: ifstat "Tx Total Errors" mismatch for interface group and its member ports

Issue

  • The Total Errors counter in ifstat in the Transmit section may be inconsistent for the interface group (ifgrp) compared to its member ports under certain conditions.
  • A CRC health check monitor log entry in EMS for the affected ifgroup may be triggered as a result of this
    Example:
    vifmgr: vifmgr.cluscheck.hwerrors:alert]: Port a0a on node Node-01 is reporting a high number (at least 1 per 1000 packets) of observed hardware errors (CRC, length, alignment, dropped).
