Issue

  • On AFF A700, AFF A900, ASA A900, FAS9000 or FAS9500 systems, if the X91440A NIC port is in a 4x10G configuration, the firmware on that card will not be updated and an error message will be displayed:
    Jan 10 06:45:14 [node1:netif.init.failed:ALERT]: Initialization of network interface e1b failed due to unexpected software error mlx5_core err=0xfffffff0:115.
    Jan 10 06:46:04 [node1:netif.init.failed:ALERT]: Initialization of network interface e1a failed due to unexpected software error mlx5_core err=0xfffffff0:115.
  • This does not pertain to X91440A ports in the 40G configuration.
