Issue

  • CPU utilization is driven by two internal scanners: TSSE and Tiering. The Tiering scanner is the larger contributor, and CPU busy trends correlate more closely with it. The CPU also will throttle down for frontend traffic. This is expected behavior when no frontend load is present.
  • However, this creates a problem with low CPU headroom seen despite minimal frontend IOPS. And Customers cannot evaluate the CPU headroom.
