Issue

A memory leak in the cluster space monitoring function can gradually consume kernel memory on affected systems. The leak occurs when a background update encounters a specific failure path on platforms that do not support this function. Each occurrence releases no memory, and the leaked memory accumulates over time as the update runs periodically.
