Issue

After upgrading the source cluster to ONTAP 9.17.1 and later, SnapMirror transfers to destination clusters running ONTAP 9.16.1 (or earlier) fail.
Snapmirror Audit log:
status=Failure message=Failed to start transfer for snapshot "xxxxxx".(Failed to start transfer.(Destination not supported(Operation not supported)))
Snapmirror Error log:
Public directory index is not supported on destination's ONTAP version
