Issue

  • When running an affected version of ONTAP 9.7 on an All-Flash FAS (AFF) system, inline compression combined with cross-volume inline deduplication, might cause a storage controller disruption.
  • When enabled, a new block can be compressed and deduplicated inline with an old block persisted in the past.
  • This problem affects AFF systems that have SAN workloads deployed.
