Issue

  • Following set of events are seen, showing a 1sec-long disconnect:
    Wed Jan 28 09:15:12 +0000 [cluster1-01: OscLowPriThreadPool: object.store.unavailable:EMERGENCY]: Unable to connect to the object store "s3server.example.com" from node 9f92c528-fa3f-417b-8c5d-81cc87d2410c. Reason: Operation Timedout.
    Wed Jan 28 09:15:13 +0000 [cluster1-01: OscLowPriThreadPool: object.store.available:notice]: Able to connect to the object store "s3server.example.com" from node 9f92c528-fa3f-417b-8c5d-81cc87d2410c.

  • This issue may be caused by network or issues within the object-store environment
  • This bug aims at allowing ONTAP to be less sensitive to these very short disconnections and avoid creating unnecessary events
