Issue

  • Section METROCLUSTER-CHECK-LIF.XML in autosupport mail shows warning:
    ClusterA vserver1-mc LIF1 port-selection warning Discovery of LIF with address X.X.X.X failed from destination cluster Ensure that the destination cluster has ports that have connectivity to the LIF on the source cluster.
    or
  • metrocluster check lif show command output indicates port selection warning for one or more LIF:

Example:

ClusterA::> metrocluster check lif show -result !ok -instance

                 Name of the Cluster: ClusterA

                  Name of the Vserver: vserver1-mc

                      Name of the Lif: LIF1

                          Description: port-selection

                  Result of the Check: warning

Additional Information/Recovery Steps: Discovery of LIF with address X.X.X.X failed from destination cluster Ensure that the destination cluster has ports that have connectivity to the LIF on the source cluster.
