Issue

  • SnapMirror initialize or update fails with the following error:

Transfer failed. (Replication engine error (Replication engine error))

  • This issue occurs when replicating from a source cluster running ONTAP 9.10.1 to a destination cluster running an earlier ONTAP release.
  • This issue may not impact all volumes.
