SnapMirror resync fails with "Source Consistency Group is already part of another snapmirror relationship."

Issue

  • When the snapmirror resync commands are run on a SnapMirror relationship,the operation can fail with :

Last Transfer Error: Failed to configure source. (The Source Consistency Group is already part of another SnapMirror relationship.)

  • It is the same to delete the relationship on the destination  and then re-create it after the release on the source.
