  • ONTAP 9.x
  • Persistent failure of SnapMirror commands with:

Relationship information has been updated and is being propagated. Wait a few minutes and try the command again

Issue

  • Snapmirror update via System Manager fails with:

“ONTAP API Failed: Relationship information has been updated and is being propagated. Wait a few minutes and try the command again. (Error: 13001)”

  • On a  SnapMirror destination, SnapMirror commands run against a FlexGroup volume fail with the error:

Relationship information has been updated and is being propagated. Wait a few minutes and try the command again.

  • SnapMirror commands persistently fail with the same message, even after waiting a few minutes (or longer period of time)

Note: If, after receiving the above error, later attempts to run SnapMirror commands succeed, the cause and solution in this KB does not apply

  • The SnapMirror destination Sktrace log contains:

SM_HIGH_4: [sm_rpl_admin_cg_mgmt.c:4077]: Cache: resume CG[<vol_name>] : failed - CG not present in cache. = 0

Note: AutoSupport sktrace section may not contain the above message.  A manual collection of all sktrace logs, and search of the collected logs, is recommended
