Issue

  • Conversion of Snapmirror relationship to Vserver DR fails with error

(Snapmirror Convert vserver_dr) completed unsuccessfully: The conversion of msid has failed for Vserver: "cifs_dr" Reason: MSID restamping precheck failed for volume "cifs_dr:v1". Reason: Volume is the source of a SnapMirror relationship.

  • Delete and release the SnapMirror relationship before proceeding
  • Customer SLA for replication/DR has very strict compliance and cannot afford the risk of rebaseline if they are to delete/recreate the source Snapmirror - Significant legal and monetary penalties impact the business and to their customers
