Issue

  • SnapMirror transfers of a volume fail while others from the same source succeed:

10:11:15 Initialize[10:10:12]:<UUID> Operation-Uuid=<UUID> Group=none Operation-Cookie=0 action=Defer source=svm1:vol1 destination=svm2:vol1_dp status=Failure message=Transfer failed.(Invalid data operation(Replication engine error))

  • This issue is only applicable when the SnapMirror source is running ONTAP 9.8 and the SnapMirror destination is running a lower ONTAP release
