Is it possible to enable destination SVM within SVM DR for read-only access to data?

Answer

Yes. When the -identity-preserve option is set to false, the volumes in destination SVM can be used for read-only access by starting SVM after the initial transfer is complete.

::> vserver start -vserver <DESTINATION_SVM>

Notes:

  1. Source and destination SVM cannot run at the same time when the -identity-preserve option is set to true
  2. Configure the destination volume for data access is required.
  3. Before starting the destination SVM, ensure that no transfer operation is in progress in SVM DR. To temporarily stop scheduled transfers in SVM DR, runsnapmirror quiesce command on the destination system.
