Description
- This KB article outlines the procedure for deleting SnapMirror snapshots
- There may be instances when unwanted snapshots need to be removed from SnapMirror source or destinations volumes due to space concerns, or other reasons
- A common but often overlooked source of unneeded SnapMirror snapshots are the baseline snapshots created by a Reverse Resync operation during SnapMirror DR, or a DR test, or SMBC FailOver
- Snapshot deletion may fail stating the snapshots are busy and/or owned by SnapMirror
