Answer

  • Default protection policy for S3 SnapMirror  is  Continuous
  • Default RPO in the policy is one hour and the value in CLI will always be in seconds (3600)
  • Default throttle will be unlimited 
  • In case a custom policy is made for S3 Snapmirror, it must use Continuous policy type
  • RPO will set a delay between the time a change is made in the source bucket and when that change is pushed to the destination bucket
  • RPO can be as low as 0
