How does Snapmirror Continuous policy works for S3 Snapmirror?

Answer

  • The default protection policy for S3 SnapMirror  is  Continuous.
  • Default RPO in the policy is one hour and the value in CLI will always be in seconds.(3600)
  • Default throttle will be unlimited.
  • If a custom policy is made for S3 Snapmirror, it must use the Continuous policy type.
  • RPO will set a delay between the time a change is made in the source bucket and when that change is pushed to the destination bucket. 
  • RPO can be as low as 0.
