Why do I always see S3 Snapmirror in transferring status with object counts?

Answer

  • If a new file (object) is added or modified in the bucket, S3 Snapmirror transfer status will immediately move to  "transferring xx object"
  • The object will stay in transfer queue until the RPO is met.
  • Once the RPO is met, actual transfer will happen with the latest\current version of the object.
