Does Snapmirror support Qtree replication?
Applies to
- ONTAP 9
- SnapMirror
- qtree
-
Answer
- No, Qtrees are special directories that allow the application of file system quotas for NAS
- ONTAP allows creation of Qtrees, and Qtrees can exist in volumes that are replicated with SnapMirror
- However, SnapMirror does not allow replication of individual qtrees or qtree-level replication because SnapMirror replications operates only at the volume level
- While individual Qtree level replication is not supported, Qtrees inside a data volume will be replicated as a part of volume replication
