Answer

  • ndmpcopy can be used to copy qtrees, or files from within a qtree, to new qtree or new volume and qtree.
  • NAS copy can be used to copy the data from a qtree to a new qtree, or new qtree on a new volume.
    • Browse the shared NAS volume  (CIFS/SMB or NFS) for the qtree.
    • After the desired data is located, copy the file(s) via the CIFS/SMB or NFS client to the desired destination (for example, a new qtree, or new volume and new qtree).
Note: SnapMirror does not allow replication of individual qtrees or qtree-level replication because SnapMirror replications operates only at the volume level
