Issue

  • Unable to log into Ontap using an application that leverages API calls in the form of ONTAPI and ZAPI, to log in to a clustered Data ONTAP over HTTP or HTTPS.   The communication fails with the following error message:

Incorrect credentials, you may have entered invalid username or password.

  • This can occur even if you have entered the correct username and password.
