Simple password is rejected by ONTAP System Manager

  1. In ONTAP System Manager select: Cluster > Storage VMs > (SVM) > Host users and groups > Windows > Users > Add
  2. Try to set a simple password for a CIFS local user
  3. The following message is displayed and the password is rejected: 
    Message:

The password must contain characters from three of the following four categories:
Uppercase letters (A through Z).
Lowercase letters (a through z).
Numbers (0 through 9).
Special characters: ~ ! @ # 0 ^ & * - _ + =  ? | ( ) [ ] { } : ; " < > , . ? /`
