CONTAP-95064: Incorrectly reporting 'vol.duplicate.msid' EMS when a load-sharing (LS) relationship is configured

Issue

  • After upgrade , EMS starts to send emergency alerts there are duplicate MSIDs on LS mirrors:
    [[node-01: mgwd: vol.duplicate.msid:EMERGENCY]: Duplicate MSID "2157483507" has been detected in SVM "svm1". The duplicate MSID is used for volumes "svm1_root_ls01" and "svm1_root".]
    [[node-01: mgwd: vol.duplicate.msid:EMERGENCY]: Duplicate MSID "2157483510" has been detected in SVM "svm2". The duplicate MSID is used for volumes "svm2_root_ls01" and "svm2_root".]

  • The volumes are cofirmed to be LS mirrors and not a FlexGroup Member:
    [::> volume show -msid <msid_number> ]
    [::> snapmirror show -vserver <svm_name> -type LS ]
    [::> vol show -vserver <svm_name> -volume <volume_name> -fields is-constituent,is-flexgroup ]
