Aggregates created on self encrypted drives don't show up as protected

  • NetApp Storage Encryption (NSE)
  • Self-encrypting drives (SEDs) that are FIPS 140-2 level 2 certified
  • ONTAP 9.7 and later versions

Issue

The storage aggregate show command with drive-protection-enabled field might incorrectly show drive protection as false when the SED has an authentication key.
 
cluster::> aggr show -aggregate !*aggr0 -fields drive-protection-enabled
aggregate    drive-protection-enabled
------------ ------------------------
n01_aggr           false
