Answer

  • The Has Savings flag means the aggregate may contain volumes which can potentially have Cross Volume savings.
  • There is no way to set Has Savings to No.
  • For AFF, Has Savings of data aggregate is Yes by default in ONTAP 9.4 and later versions.
  • Has Savings becomes Yes itself does not mean that Cross Volume Dedupe or volume efficiency is valid.
  • Control is performed by enabling or disabling Cross Volume Dedupe or volume efficiency.
