What happens when the dedupe operation of previous scheduled does not finish before next schedule
Applies to
ONTAP 9.X
Answer
- When a running job has not been completed, the number of subsequent jobs, execution time, and the schedule of the most recent job upon completion are calculated internally.
- ONTAP then decides whether to execute the next job immediately after the current job is completed or to skip it and execute the following job.
- The behavior will be one of the following:
- The job is skipped, and the deduplication process will be executed at the next scheduled time.
- The job is queued, and the next deduplication process will be executed immediately after the current deduplication process is completed.
