SANnav 3.0.0 PostgreSQL files show UID instead of sannavmgr user
Applies to
- Broadcom SANnav 3.0.0
- Linux hosts running SANnav with Podman-managed PostgreSQL
Issue
- During an OS baseline or VAPT compliance review, PostgreSQL database files and directories under the SANnav installation path are owned by numeric UID 2xxxx1 instead of the expected SANnav OS user 'sannavmgr' (UID 5xx0).
- No application errors, permission denied, or ownership mismatch errors are observed in the SANnav logs.
- The
sannavmgraccount exists and is configured with UID/GID 5xx0, but UID 2xxx1 is not present in the hostpasswddatabase. - PostgreSQL service and associated processes are actively running under UID 2xxx1 in a Podman container.
