How to retrieve lost Brocade license
Applies to
Brocade Fiber Channel (FC) switches.
Answer
- Log into your Broadcom account using the domain used to register license and go Brocade Global Support
- Upgraded Brocade support portal to Enterprise level which is required to access the License Portal via the Support Portal
• Click on the arrow next to your name on the upper right
• Click on MyProfile
• Click on Build my Profile
• Click on Yes, I want to Build my Profile
• Enter all valid company and address details
- Upgraded Brocade support portal to Enterprise level which is required to access the License Portal via the Support Portal
- Go to the Licensing portal to view your license registered to a serial number
- TruFOS Certificate request on switch 9.2 and above, retrieve License ID from switch using license show
Additional Information
- If the transaction key or license key generated for a license purchased through NetApp is lost it can be retrieved via a non-technical case handled by the NetApp Customer Service Representative (CSR) team.
- Select 'Installed Products' under the category when opening.
- Retrieve POD optics kit license.
