Issue
- Double density SFP does not fit into the switch port as it gets stuck halfway.
- For fault isolation, below steps can be followed:
- Transceivers are keyed so that they can be inserted only with the correct orientation.
- If a transceiver does not slide in easily, ensure that it is correctly oriented.
- Push the correctly oriented transceiver into the port until it is firmly seated and the latching mechanism clicks.
- Clean and reseat the SFP
- Check the ports for any obstructions
- Swap SFP with another double density SFP and see if it works.
- If it works then proceed with solution.
