Brocade switch is in in_sync status due to faulty switch side SFP

Issue

  • Switch port state shows as In_Sync under switchshow output:

  • porterrshow output shows that link fail errors are observed:

  • sysconfig -a on Ontap shows the connected switch port status as unknown:
