IssueThe 

  • Brocade G610/G620/ G730 switch is in a dead state
  • The switch is not getting any power, and pings to the switch aren't working
  • Unable to log in to the CLI of the switch
  • The troubleshooting steps can be tried:
    • Perform a switch power cycle and try to boot up the switch
    • Check if the power cable is connected properly, and try to swap it with a well-known power cable
    • Swap the port that the power cable is plugged into and see if the switch comes up
    • Try connecting  the power cord to a different power source/PDU
  • The corresponding connected switch via ISL is likely to send an alert for connection down to the faulty switch
