Applies to

  • Brocade SAN Switches
  • Fabric OS (FOS) v9.2.x

Issue

  • During an attempted firmware upgrade to FOS v10.0.0a1 on a Brocade switch, the upgrade process fails due to pre-upgrade validation errors. The primary remaining blocker is an error related to secure syslog, specifically:

ERROR: Remove non-secure syslog configurations using CLI "syslogadmin --remove -ip" since target firmware does not support non-secure mode...Only problem is, unable to enable the secure syslog, it’s asking for syslog server CA.

  • Certificate status from seccertmgmt show
