CRC errors on cluster ports connected to BES-53248 switch

Issue

  • Continuous packet loss is observed in the cluster network and the following events are reported.

[Node-01b:vifmgr.cluscheck.ctdpktloss:alert]: Continued packet loss when pinging from cluster lif Node-01b_clus1 (node 01b) to cluster lif Node_clus2 (node 01a).​​​​​​​

  • No hardware problems in SFPs, cables, ports, or switches.
  • CRC errors are observed on both ports:

 CRC errors:       2061k | Runt frames:         0  | Fragment:            0

  • Clearing the counters also results in the same error.
  • From the switch logs, observed a configuration issue with the RCF file installed on switches.
