CRC errors on cluster ports connected to BES-53248 switch
Applies to
- ONTAP 9
- AFF/FAS system
- Broadcom BES-53248 Cluster Switch
Issue
- Continuous packet loss is observed in the cluster network and the following events are reported.
[Node-01b:vifmgr.cluscheck.ctdpktloss:alert]: Continued packet loss when pinging from cluster lif Node-01b_clus1 (node 01b) to cluster lif Node_clus2 (node 01a).
- No hardware problems in SFPs, cables, ports, or switches.
- CRC errors are observed on both ports:

- Clearing the counters also results in the same error.
- From the switch logs, observed a configuration issue with the RCF file installed on switches.
